My family does this with the word "poot". My Great-Grandmother Daisy used this word as her only cuss word, and it has stuck through four more generations. What a legacy. Heh. During Christmas Break while we were watching the news, I got my parents laughing over President Putin of Russia being named "President Pootin' " Then while we were trapped in the fly paper of pre-op at UAB, some doctor came in with an odd name and when he left I got my dad laughing over how we would feel if our last name was Pootin' and we had to introduce ourselves like that all the time "Hello, I'm Jim Pootin' and this is my daughter, Pam Pootin." Oh, oh, oh, so silly, but somehow it's the fact that this word has seemed so funny for so long. Also, I just read that GHW Bush used to refer to Pres. Putin as "Pootie-Poot." Possibly the first thing I've come across that GWH and I have in common, and I'm not proud of it.

I had more fun reading this blog about the movie than actually seeing the movie. And yes, the kid was speaking in tongues, why have we not discussed this? Because... well... WTF?

Jan, First Drop was awful. Killer Instinct was so great that reading First Drop made me so sad because I didn't care at all what happened to any of the characters. The plot was boring, I didn't see the purpose of it taking place in the U.S., the parts with the teenagers were cringe-y, and that she just happens to make friends with a retired FBI agent who is cool enough to help her rather than turn her in immediately made my Suspension of Disbelief-o-meter explode.

I'm reading Second Shot and so far I'm liking it much better.

Yes, I read that one. I really liked it because Tina Fey takes her job seriously but is still super funny. I've heard that the audio version of the book is even better because she narrates it.
