Normally I hate birds, right? But c’mon, no one hates birds of prey. They are badsass awesome.
This one is on top of a score board at the ballfields at Snake Bite Pond (or for you birdwatchers out there: The Vivian Lee Maddox Sports Complex, it was the field closest to the cemetery.) There are more pics on the flickr, just click that pic and you’re there.
Anyway, I’m no kind of bird lover, so I don’t usually know what kind of bird I’m looking at other than say, a pidgeon, a robin, an American crow (of which there are tons in RBC), blue jay (obvs.), cardinal, that kind of thing. So let me give proper recognition to Outdoor Alabama for helping me pick out which badass bird of prey this was.
